This complete Alaska land tour vacation is a great option for small groups wishing to join an existing tour. Departure dates range from mid-May through early September allowing for spring, summer and fall options. This is the perfect tour for previous cruisers to Alaska! Tour can be modified to include an enhanced meal plan and align with a cruise sailing from Whittier or Seward.
DAY 1
Fly into Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city. Transfer via hotel courtesy shuttle and overnight in Anchorage (or purchase meet and great transfer service from the Anchorage Airport to your hotel in Anchorage).

DAY 2
Start your morning with a delicious included breakfast before setting off to explore Anchorage. Highlights include historic downtown, bustling Lake Hood—where over 190 floatplanes take off and land daily—Earthquake Park, and the Alaska Native Heritage Center, where rich cultural traditions come alive.
Afterward, take in the stunning views along the scenic Seward Highway as you journey south to Whittier. There, you will step aboard a vessel for an unforgettable cruise across Prince William Sound toward Valdez. Keep your camera ready for majestic glaciers, towering mountain peaks, and marine wildlife along the pristine waters.

Start your day with a delicious included breakfast before boarding your comfortable motorcoach for a journey north into Alaska’s interior. As you travel toward Fairbanks—affectionately known as the “Golden Heart City”—you’ll take in spectacular views along the boundary of Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, the largest national park in the United States, while tracing the impressive route of the historic Trans-Alaska Pipeline. Arrive in Fairbanks for an unforgettable overnight stay in the heart of the North.

Start your day with a delicious included breakfast before diving into Alaska’s rich history. Today, discover how the legendary gold rush shaped the interior on an engaging sightseeing tour, featuring an included visit to the world-class Museum of the North. Later, step back in time aboard an authentic sternwheeler for an unforgettable cruise along the scenic Chena River. Cap off your evening by indulging in an optional traditional Alaskan salmon bake.
