Along the way, make stops to marvel at iconic sights, including the impressive Trans Alaska Pipeline and the rugged Dalton Highway, both renowned for their historical significance and stunning scenery. As you traverse the mighty Yukon River, you’ll be captivated by the vastness and beauty of the surrounding wilderness. The journey to the Arctic Circle is both scenic and ceremonial, culminating in a special moment when you officially cross the boundary. Here, you’ll receive an Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate, a tangible reminder of your exploration. On your way back to Fairbanks, you’ll have the opportunity to revisit the Yukon River Camp, a cozy spot that invites reflection on the day’s experiences and the majestic beauty of the Alaskan landscape.

As night falls, your adventure takes an exciting turn, you will stop at  Joy Alaska, where the Arctic Circle Trading Post serves as your vantage point for gazing at the night sky. Located 60 miles from the city, this serene spot is perfect for watching the heavens unfold, far from the interference of urban lights. Here, you’ll linger around Solar Midnight, the time identified by scientists as peak activity for auroras. If all the conditions are met in the crisp Arctic air, you’ll find yourself immersed in the mesmerizing display of colors that dance across the sky, making for an unforgettable finale to your Arctic adventure.

Departs at 9:45 am; returns between 3:30 and 4:30 am. (Pland for approximate 14 hours for this tour).

As you soar the vast wilderness of Alaska, you’ll be treated to breathtaking aerial views that showcase the rugged beauty of the landscape Alaska is know for. Once you arrive in Coldfoot, your adventure continues with a ground tour that takes you southward back to Fairbanks. Throughout the journey, your knowledgeable guide will share captivating stories about the history and culture of Alaska’s Arctic, enhancing your appreciation for this remarkable region.

As you travel along the iconic Dalton Highway, renowned for its role in the construction of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, you’ll have the chance to view this engineering marvel up close. The road winds through stunning scenery, where you’ll witness the pristine wilderness that defines Alaska’s Arctic. One of the highlights of the tour is crossing the Arctic Circle in a ceremonial fashion, where you’ll receive an official Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate—an impressive keepsake to commemorate your journey. Each stop along the way offers unique perspectives on the breathtaking landscapes, from the rolling hills to the serene vistas of the Yukon River.

As night descends, the tour takes you to Joy, Alaska, where the Arctic Circle Trading Post becomes your prime location for aurora viewing. Situated 60 miles outside of Fairbanks, this secluded spot is perfect for escaping city lights and immersing yourself in the magical Arctic night. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to gaze up at the star-studded sky, staying out around Solar Midnight, when scientists have determined that aurora activity peaks. The anticipation builds as you await the stunning display of lights that dance across the heavens, creating a breathtaking finale to your Arctic adventure.

Departs at 1:00 pm; returns between 3:30 and 4:30 am.
