But the real thrill awaits on the Chena River, where you’ll board a classic sternwheeler and cruise through the stunning scenery. And as evening falls, consider to treat yourself to an authentic salmon bake, a taste of Alaskan tradition that will leave your palate yearning for more? Spend another night in Fairbanks:

Day 3

After a hearty breakfast, Start your morning with a comfortable motorcoach ride south from Fairbanks to the breathtaking wilderness of Denali National Park. Upon arrival, immerse yourself in nature during an interpretive hike along the peaceful shores of Otto Lake at the Denali Discovery Center, followed by an inspiring “Welcome to Denali” reception that previews the extraordinary sights awaiting you on your tour. Later in the afternoon, drop by lively Glitter Gulch to explore unique local shops, pick up souvenirs, or enjoy a tasty meal or snack. In the evening, choose how to unwind—relax back at the lodge, enjoy the fun and flair of the optional Denali Dinner Theater, or set off on an exciting optional excursion. Options abound, from mild or wild river rafting and breathtaking flightseeing to a thrill-filled jet boat safari on the Nenana River or an insider visit to an award-winning Iditarod champion’s dog kennel.

Begin with breakfast, then embark on the Tundra Wilderness Tour, a journey deep into Denali’s vast expanse. Even as you snack on the bus, the wonders of Denali surround you. And though early May and September might shorten the tour due to road conditions, the experience remains unforgettable.
